How do we value your JEWELRY? - Sell Jewelry in CT
With gold and silver prices reaching new heights, your scrap or unwanted jewelry could have significant value. In many cases, this value is based on the content of the precious metals in your item, but not all cases. In some cases your item may have re-sale value and may be worth more than just the precious metals content. Unfortunately, this assessment cannot be made of the phone. A Connecticut Gold and Silver staff member must see the item up close in order to determine the true value. A number of factors are taken into account when valuing your items. To begin with, we need to determine the karat of the item. The “karat” represents the percentage of gold in your item. For example 14 karat items are 58.5% gold, where as 18 karat items are 75% gold. Obviously, the higher the karat the more we can pay per ounce.
